Jim is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Applied Sciences with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. While at Ole Miss he was an Athletic Trainer with the football and track teams in addition to working with other sports programs at the University.
His post-graduate work was at Temple University Center for Sports Medicine & Science in Philadelphia, PA & Marlton, NJ, in addition to the University of Mississippi. Jim is a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer. He began his career in clinical athletic training in 1992. Although his background is in sports medicine, he has taken a keen interest in Industrial Rehabilitation/Testing, which he began working in 1997. He also has a special interest in Post Offer Employment Testing, Return to Work Screens, and Workers’ Compensation case management. Jim is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and a Certified Impairment Rating Specialist. In 2009 he received training in the new 6th Edition American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.
